That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve integrated the Shopify Planet app, enabling carbon-neutral shipping for all our orders. The Shopify Planet App
Shopify Planet is an app integrated with Shopify stores, enabling businesses to offer carbon-neutral shipping. It calculates the carbon emissions from shipping orders and offsets them by paying carbon removal companies to remove an equivalent amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. By offering carbon-neutral shipping, we can reduce the environmental impact of our deliveries and meet the growing demand for sustainable practices.
How It Works
When you place an order, the Planet app calculates the carbon footprint of shipping your package. The calculated emissions are then offset through various carbon removal projects, including advanced technologies and nature-based solutions. This ensures that the environmental impact of shipping is effectively neutralized.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Initially, we planned to offer our customers the option to pay for carbon-neutral delivery. However, we decided to take a more impactful approach by implementing carbon-neutral shipping for all orders at no additional cost to our customers. This decision was made to better serve our commitment to sustainability and enhance our positive environmental impact.
Insights So Far
Since implementing this initiative, we’ve achieved:
- 1,716 carbon-neutral deliveries
- 5,864,154 km traveled by our packages
- 1,180 kg of carbon emissions removed
This is equivalent to charging 150,410 smartphones or driving a car for 4,859 km.
We continuously explore new initiatives to further reduce our environmental footprint. Our commitment to sustainability drives us to innovate and expand our efforts, ensuring a brighter, greener future for all.
