Flic Hardware Limited Warranty (commercial guarantee) for orders shipped outside of USA

Shortcut Labs AB warrants that your Flic hardware product (“the Product”) will be free from defects in materials and functionality for 24 months from the date of delivery to the original retail purchaser (“the Warranty Period”). If a defect in the Product arises within the Warranty Period, Shortcut Labs will, at its sole option and subject to applicable laws:

(a) repair it with a new or refurbished product component; or

(b) replace the unit with a new or refurbished unit upon return.

If option (a) or (b) wouldn't be possible, Shortcut Labs will offer a partial or full refund of the original price upon return of the defective product.

Shortcut Labs will reimburse you for any transport costs regarding replacements or returns of the Product.

This Warranty applies to Products purchased directly from the Shortcut Labs webshop (https://flic.io/shop). For products purchased from other retailers and unauthorized resellers, please contact them for issues concerning a warranty. In rare cases, we reserve the right to provide courtesy replacements when the Product is not bought directly from our webshop (this is solely at our discretion).

The warranty does not apply where the instructions for use and activation of the Product are not complied with or where the Product is considered damaged; as a result of abuse, accident, modification, moisture or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

All warranty claims must be authorized. We will request a few details regarding your order and the issue you encountered. To apply for this, contact us or email support@shortcutlabs.com.

Note: Battery usage is regarded as normal wear and tear and is therefore not covered by the 24-month warranty. Shortcut Labs will only honor battery claims that arise within (6) months from the date of manufacture.

Within EU:

Note that consumers are already entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods. Those remedies are not affected by this commercial guarantee.

Outside of EU:

All implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose concerning the products are limited to the duration of the applicable express warranty. All other express or implied conditions, representations, and warranties, including any implied warranty of non-infringement, are disclaimed.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary by jurisdiction.

Legal guarantees (within EU)

Consumers are entitled by law to remedies from the seller free of charge in the event of a lack of conformity of the goods (defects). Two years is the minimum duration of the legal guarantee. National law of the consumer’s country of residence may provide for stronger consumer rights, e.g. three years in Sweden. To exercise this right, contact us, within a reasonable timeframe after noticing the defect, using the contact information at the top.

Right of withdrawal / Return policy

Note: Please note that this section applies only to products you purchase directly from our webshop (https://flic.io/shop). If you ordered from other retailers or resellers, kindly contact them instead.

Within the EU, consumers have a 14 days legal right to withdraw. If this does not apply for you, we still provide the same option but as a Return policy.

In short:

If you decide to return your order, you must inform us within 14 days after delivery.
Send us back the goods without undue delay within 14 (further) days, after you have informed us.
We do not accept partial returns. The whole order must be returned.
You are free to try out the products, before making your decision.
Please send back the products in their original condition, with the original packaging, to avoid deduction on the refunded amount.
We will refund the full price you paid to us, including shipping costs.
You are responsible for paying the return shipping costs.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the first good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Shortcut Labs AB, Drottning Kristinas Väg 41, 114 28 Stockholm, Sweden; support@shortcutlabs.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form found below, but it is not obligatory. We prefer that you simply send your message to us by e-mail, including your order number, for faster processing on our side.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods to the applicable address that can be found according to “Return instructions” below, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before this period has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
